City officials were relieved when they found a tractor that had been reported missing on October 3, 2012 was in Florence county following the DUI arrest of Timothy Bessant. The tractor was apparently stolen from a job site in Conway, and was taken for a joy ride on Highway 38 in Latta, South Carolina. Police pulled Bessant over around 1:30 a.m. and arrested him for driving under the influence and impounded the tractor. The City of Conway has not commented on whether they will be filing charges for the theft of the tractor because they are unsure who actually took the tractor before Bessant took his joy ride.
